This week we have gone over the System of Checks & Balances that the American Government has put to use. As we have discussed in class, checks and balances allows for a system based regulation that allows one branch to limit another, such as the power of Congress to alter the composition and jurisdiction of the federal courts. The image I have posted below allows you to see a general view of how each one of the branches checks one another. Please review as this will be a major component of your chapter exam.

During this unit we have also covered the location of what is considered to be the Northeastern states on the United States Map. In order for you to practice, I have pasted a blank map alongside with a map of the Northeastern states labeled. Please study, as we will be using this information for future use.
